I would just like to thank you for the opportunity of a lifetime that you have provided for me. I enjoyed the experience in China and would recommend it. I would love to return to the country one day and take in more sights and meet more people. My favorite part of the trip was The Great Wall. It was so unbelievable and amazing that I was climbing it. Thank you once again for helping make the China trip possible for my classmates and myself. Xie Xie.

I wanted to express my appreciation for the hard work you did in setting up our Travel Industry Study Tour. The quality of the tour was impeccable, which made for a very stress free travel experience. Our guides were all very kind, and had a great deal of knowledge that they were ready and willing to pass on to us. I hope to use your company again and will be recommending your services to friends, clients and family in the future. Thanks again!

I would like to thank you for organizing our group’s trip to China. It was truly an eye-opening experience that I’m sure none of us will ever forget. Being students of travel, it is of great importance to us to be able to see and become familiar with places around the world and ChinaPac has helped a lot with that. The local guides were knowledgeable and helpful and were often teaching us some of the language and history that we loved to hear about. Everything we did on the tours, both the activities on the itinerary and the optional ones, contributed to the amazing adventure I had the pleasure of experiencing with your awesome guides and some very good friends of mine. I felt that the trip was organized well and that although there was a lot to see, I could have taken tours and learned about China throughout the night instead of sleeping. Thank you again for putting together a wonderful team of people to corral a sometimes unruly group of young women. We appreciate it more than you know.

A quick note to say how much Terri and I enjoyed the entire China experience provided through our ChinaPac excursion. Alex Feng as our resident guide was most efficient in his care and concern of our 14 member group and not a hitch was to be found in any of our travel or accommodation arrangements. Alex proved to be a very capable and entertaining member of our troop. We were amazed by both the cultural aspects of the journey and the openness of the people towards our presence . Clearly the China of today is ready for active tourism and offers the visitors an exclusive view into the complex nature of the country. The food supply was more than adequate and did not offend any of our Canadian taste buds, Larger glasses for beverages did seem to be however a common request. All in all, a most rewarding couple of weeks and a photographer's heaven. Enclosed is the China Pac promo spontaneously provided at the Tang Dynasty Show - a very nice touch. (See attached file: China 1 524.jpg) (See attached file: China 1 627.avi) Congratulations on your program. We hope to return for other tours in the future. Regards,

We are back from our wonderful CME trip to China and would like to comment on our extra special guide Alex, who was in charge of bus A. Alex is the very best guide we have ever encountered. He is warm, personable, and extremely caring about all the individuals he was responsible for. Without him to take such wonderful care of us, the trip would not have been as memorable. He is also very knowledgeable and charismatic. Please pass this on to him and tell him thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. Sincerely,

Hello, We had the privilege of having Alex as our guide from March 31st to April 19th,2009 during our CME at SEA excursion to China. My wife and I agree that he looked after us with enthusiasm, kindness and patience over an extended period of time,as well as being extremely knowledgeable and humorous as well. He is a very kind ,considerate person, who especially respected the elderly that travelled with us as they required more attention. We always felt very confident and safe under his guidance and he always kept the group together especially with the numerous washroom breaks! In summary, we feel he was an exceptional leader of our group and any future travelers should consider themselves fortunate to have him as a guide. Sincerely

We had a wonderful time touring your beautiful country during the first 2 weeks of April travelling with CME at Sea. The national tour guides from your company were excellent. On our bus we were particularly fortunate to have Alex as our national tour guide. He was the best tour guide I have ever had. He was quite personable, very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. He took excellent care of us and always had situations well organized and well controlled. We trusted his good judgement implicitly and were very happy to have him assuring our tour of China was the best possible in all aspects. Thank you. Yours sincerely,

Dear Otis! I also would like to thank you for letting me participate in you China Fam. I really enjoyed myself and must say, this was the best organized trip I have ever been on. My clients could not belief how well they were looked after and what beautiful hotels they had the pleasure to stay in. All the tours were well organized, accept for the local guide in Xian. She walked way to fast and did not make sure the group could follow. Therefore, my clients never got to hear any of her explanations and I had to make sure, they were not left behind. You probable heard the same comments from others on this trip. I did mention to David, that this lady was less than desirable. David on the other hand went on and above his duty to ensure our well-being and happiness. He is very knowledgeable and fun. Dropping the banner at the Dynasty show- Welcome Chinapac Canada was a very special touch. Thank you! The food was excellent and most of the time they made sure it was not to spicy for our "western stomach". The Yangtze River Cruise was excellent and the staff very accommodating and professional. I'm sure a high quality and well organized trip like ours, would be enjoyed even by the most demanding client. Thank you again Otis, for showing us a China we did not know and the excellent product your company has. Best regards,

Hi Jacquie- I want to thank you for arranging the most fabulous trip I've ever had! Heather and I went to China with high expectations, and thanks to you and ChinaPac, our guides and drivers, and the friendly people in China, those expectations were surpassed in every way! I think you are an excellent travel agent, and if anyone I know is trying to book a trip to China, I will send them to you. I want to especially commend the wonderful guides we had during our trip. We had some guides for just a short time. They were so helpful to us and very pleasant. They are: Paul (Chongqing), Allen (Yichang), and Selena (Lijiang.) The four guides we had for longer periods of time were excellent in every way. They were professional, informative, attentive, and good company. They are Brian Zhu (Shanghai), Coco Wang (Chengdu), Joanne Ying (Guilin), and Tony (Ming) Wang (Beijing). I have to say a special word for our guide Verena (Taiyuan and Datong). We were caught in a traffic jam on the way to the train station on the morning we were to leave for Beijing, and she did everything possible to get us to the train on time, and we made it with 10 minutes to spare! Heather and I both felt Verena went above and beyond to make sure we caught that train. I want to especially commend her for that. There were four drivers who were not only kind and friendly to us, but they drove in a safe and cautious manner, which we appreciated. They are Mr. Liu (Chengdu), our driver in Guilin, but I don't know his name, Yang Xu (Taiyuan), and Mr. Zhang (Beijing). I have emailed our guide in Guilin asking for the driver's name, and I can send that to you when I get it. If there is anyway you can contact these people's companies or bosses in China to pass on my comments about them, I would appreciate it. If not, I just want you to know what a high level of service we had on this trip. We had very good seats to everything we went to, and GREAT seats to the Changing Faces Opera in Chengdu - front row, center! The food was fantastic, one great meal after the next. We saw and did everything we had hoped to and more. Please forward this email to your own manager, Jacquie, because I do want you to be recognized for the incredible job you did for us. Thank you again for everything-

Hi Jacqueline, I can't believe it that after two years of planning my China trip is now memories. I wanted to let you know that this has been the most fantastic trip I have been on. You did a superb job of arranging all our activities, accommodation, etc. Also the guides were so extremely great. Most of them went above and beyond their role in making our visit the best. I want you to know that if I know of anyone planning on going to China, I am certainly going to send them your way. Again, the arrangements you made could have not been better and I thank you very much for all that you and your company did. Yours truly,

Hi Otis, Did we have a trip of a lifetime! If I had to rate it on a scale of one to ten, I would say nine in that nothing is 100%. We had excellent guides, especially David and Jeff. Fengdu and Chongqing were excellent tours. I forget the lady’s name in Xian, my only complaint about her is that I couldn’t hear her at times. I would not have minded spending a little more time walking around the zoo as we only saw the pandas but I believe there were other animals to be seen as well and the park like setting was beautiful. Our hotel rooms were more like suites – they were excellent! The vendors were very aggressive but we were warned and after a while you learned how to handle the situation. The cruise I enjoyed – the service was excellent. I wanted to exchange money and when I went down I stopped to look for reception and at once Terry came up to me and asked if there was something he could help me with. I told him and he said the cashier was on a half hour break and could I come back but then asked for my cabin number and he would phone me when she was available. It wasn’t fifteen minutes later when the cashier was at my cabin door and exchanged the money for me. The scenery along the Yangtze River and the Three Gorges is breathtaking! Travelling the locks was interesting in that it was like the Panama Canal on a smaller scale and you were therefore more conscious of the effects taking place and could appreciate the work and skills required to acquire this great engineering feat. The trip on Shennong Stream was most enjoyable, it felt so peaceful and our guide had a beautiful singing voice – the song she and the captain sang was so beautiful and she also sang solo. I loved Xian, the city wall, the Terra Cotta Warriors sure exceeded my expectations. The Great Wall was a wonderful experience – just think of all the work that went into creating those walls! The shows were great and visiting the silk, carpet, jade and pearl factories was interesting. Beijing and Shanghai are both big bustling cities. I enjoyed the time spent at the SummerPalace and on the Dragon boat. The only day I felt was really long and wished you could break it up was the visit to Tin An Men Square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven. I appreciated the experience of one night on the train although it was hot at first before the air conditioning was turned on. We also had a very nice group of people travelling with us and I think we all enjoyed each others company. Thank you Otis for your friendship, company and the gift you and David gave us all. I will certainly be promoting a tour of China through Chinapac.

Dear Mr. Ashby I am writing to tell you of my very positive experience in booking an FIT with Chinapac for my client and to commend your company, and in particular, two of your employees: Mr Michael Cheng and Ms Vinh Le La.My client wanted to visit Tibet on short notice and with a very limited window of opportunity for his travel. My first contact at Chinapac was with Michael. I found him to be very efficient and informative. After the initial quote, he left to go on vacation and gave the file to his colleague, Vinh Le La. Vinh is truly remarkable! She worked long and hard on this file and was able to find the flights, accommodations, and transfers needed even though the itinerary and timelines were challenging. She kept in constant contact with our office and it was evident that she was committed to successfully building the right package for our mutual client. On behalf of my client and our agency, thank you to Chinapac for your excellent service on this file. I look forward to working with you again in the future! Sincerely

Dear Otis, Now that I’ve had a chance to catch up on my sleep and organize my pictures, I would like to pass on a few comments about our Chinapac Tour: General Comments • Extremely interesting and varied (no chance to get bored), with a variety of geographic locations, scenery, historic sites, modern wonders, cultural presentations, and modes of transportation • Physically challenging at times (steps and hills); not recommended for anyone who has difficulty walking or climbing (promotional information should spell this out; perhaps a less strenuous itinerary could be devised for people who need it.) • Excellent guides (national and local), with a good command of English. I enjoyed the insights into life in China today that the guides provided, along with historical and geographic information. I enjoyed Narional Guide David’s sense of humour. I also appreciated the care and concern shown by David and our local guide in Chong Qing the day I experienced a mild stomach upset. • Good accommodations overall and on the East King. The Marriott in Beijing was outstanding! A good way to end our trip. • Good food overall: ship’s food was very good; restaurants were good, but I found the meals very much the same after awhile; I enjoyed the slight variation in the food at the restaurant near the Great Wall. The Peking Duck meal was an interesting and educational experience. I missed a meal in Xian due to illness, but I enjoyed the beautiful roof garden while others ate inside at the restaurant. Baggage Handling I very much appreciated the fact that our checked luggage was looked after during our stay in China by our National guide and drivers. I was very happy that we did not have to struggle with it. Bus Transportation The buses were clean and the drivers good and very courteous. (Buses today do not provide much leg room; the same is true of most airplanes. But this is universal and not unique to buses in China.) Entertainment • I enjoyed the acrobatic show, the traditional Chinese dances show, and the entertainment by the crew aboard ship. • I found the Kung Fu show to be a bit long and the seats uncomfortable, but this show would be extremely appealing to a young crowd. Demonstrations & presentations; shopping opportunities • I enjoyed the various opportunities to learn about the Chinese language, the production of silk and silk rugs, other Chinese hand crafts, Chinese art and calligraphy. • I also enjoyed our various shopping opportunities on the ship, in the various factories, and at the market building on the last day in Beijing. (Timing was excellent for this last-day shopping fling, as some of us needed to buy extra luggage.) Thank you for your presence on the trip, and please thank Chinapac for providing this wonderful opportunity to Travel Agents and their companions. Sincerely,

HI Otis: Thank you for forwarding the photos (Great Wall & cultural show). What a wonderful time we all had. This was my first FAM trip so I really did not know what to expect. I have been on other agency hosted tours so I know how they work and I guess that I gauged my expectations on those. What I found was a very superior tour. The organization and timeliness of the entire trip were exemplary. No want left unattended to; no questions left unanswered. The local guides were excellent imparting their knowledge willingly and most with greats amounts of humour. And the food..................well, what can I say. I have never seen so many dishes before on (any) table. And delicious - each and every one. And..........at EVERY meal. The cultural events: Perfection personified. I feel so very fortunate to have been able to attend this FAM and experience China with the ChinaPac group. I will have have no difficulty Otis in selling ChinaPac tours to my clients. In my opinion, it is the very best value per dollar on the Asian market. And...............the best guide of all was David. From beginning to end, he saw to our every needs, be it a massage appointment, or an extra silk duvet wanted. He kept things moving at all times - even when he (and we) were tired. We, my small group and I, had the distinct priviledge of meeting his wife and daughter. I did not catch his wife's name but his daughter's name is Apple. And what a cutie she is. They all came to the hotel on the Sunday to get us safely in to the van, our luggage organized, etc. Best Regards,

Otis, hope your extra day in Beijing was productive for you and you had a good flight home. As you requested Tom and I are pleased to provide you some feedback on the recent Chinapac fam. Hotels - Certainly the Xian and Beijing hotels were excellent. The Shanghai hotel was certainly adequate but maybe not for a 5 star tour ( We knew this wasn't an exclusively a 5 star tour). The breakfasts were all excellent. River Cruise - We enjoyed it very much. The itinerary and tours were excellent as was the staff and food. In North American terms it may not qualify as a 5 star but then again the star system is not consistent throughout the world. Nonetheless, it was quite satisfactory. Guides - David was wonderful and would be more than satisfactory for all clients. Local guides were also all satisfactory although we would rank them Jack, Molly and Xing as #1,2,3 Tours - scheduled tours were well thought out and conducted. Food - We never thought that any meal was unacceptable but there was some inconsistency in quality although we know absolute consistency is not possible. It was obvious in what restaurants the staff were engaged and others that were not. Coming from North America the variety of dishes may not seem sufficient. We suspect, however, from a Chinese perspective, there was lots of variety. Train - We enjoyed it but some clients might not be inclined do it. General Comments - We thoroughly enjoyed our Chinapac trip to China. Your partnership withyour local offices seems to ensure a quality program. This tour was indeed a "highlights" tour as we saw many of the most notable Chinese tourist attractions. It was a great introduction to China. The all inclusive nature with all meals and admissions included is a big plus. All in all the Chinapac tour was a very positive and professional experience that causes us to want more.

Dear Jacqueline I am just back from my trip to Shanghai. It was a wonderful experience thanks to the guide, Brian, and the driver. Brian went out of his way to accommodate my needs, particularly in regards to my medical diet. He arranged meals each day at hotels and restaurants for me. I was very ill eating at the conference prior to meeting with Brian and the guide. Once I was traveling with them both in Shanghai and then outside Shanghai and eating well, I was all better. I had thought I might just have to fly home early if I hadn't arranged the tours with Brian and the driver and everything changed!! Not only was Brian so helpful about the diet, he was also extremely well informed about anything I asked him about China and the cities we were traveling through. He was a very friendly and thoughtful person. I couldn't have had better. I wish to thank him very much!! The drive was a very safe conscientious driver and I felt comfortable and in very good hands in all of the heavy traffic!! I wish to thank him also!! And I wish to thank you for all your help in planning such a wonderful trip!!

Hi Jackie Thorne and I want to thank you so much for helping us plan our independent travel trip to China in March. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the year of our 40th anniversary. All of our guides for Shanghai, Kunming, Dali, Hangzhou, HuangshanMountain and, especially Anna in Lijiang, were excellent. We would certainly recommend travel to the Yunnan province. For the entire week the weather was sunny and a pleasant 25 degrees celcius. The countryside is beautiful and the ethnic minority people are very friendly. Our accommodation at the Regent Hotel in Dali was breathtaking. The "room" was a bedroom with a very large modern bathroom and sitting room attached -- teak floors and beautiful antiques. Our king-sized bed was covered in a large heart of rose petals and a huge bouquet of flowers on the pillows - Wow! The Zen Garden Lion Hill Hotel, in the ancient city of Lijiang, is special. It's up on a hill beside a temple. Sitting outside our room on the covered deck we could watch the sun rise over the rooftops of buildings in the ancient city. With modern rooms and bathrooms, a pond, bridge and multilevels built into the hillside, this 16 room hotel definitely lives up to its name. Plus, it is only a quick ten minute walk to the centre of the ancient town. Our travels to the Tiger Leaping Gorge, the JadeDragonMountain, the surrounding villages and village homes were highlights. Jackie, thank you again for getting us tickets to the show, "Impressions Lijiang" , a spectacular vision of 300 ethnic minority actors in a large open natural theatre at 3300 metres, displaying their wonderful costumes, ethnic heritage and horsemanship. Hangzhou and HuangshanMountain were equally beautiful and even though it rained in Hangzhou and snowed on HuangshanMountain, Thorne got some terrific pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening show "Impressions Westlake". With your help we planned and had a wonderful trip. I look forward to working with you again soon to plan our next independent travel in Asia. Best wishes

Hello, Otis. Thank you for the opportunity to join the recent Chinapac FAM. It was amazing! As we begin to tell folks about all the things we did...all the things we saw...all the food we ate....all the things we learned....we are surprised to really realize how much was packed into those 11 days. You asked for our comments, so here are mine, beginning with the positive. Jim will send his own comments separately. Timing • this is certainly a good time to visit China. Crowds of tourists were lighter than anticipated - not so good for them, but nice for us. Personnel • the availability of a National Guide was priceless - freeing us from moving our own luggage, obtaining our boarding passes where possible, negotiating access to hotels. For our age group, those are wonderful services, and I think the trip would have been much less pleasant without them. • David himself was great . He is knowledgeable, experienced, personable, hard-working. His command of English is good. His willingness to extend himself for individuals was impressive; ex., organizing the tailors in Beijing. And we enjoyed his language lessons, right down to his ma ma ma tongue-twister • Similarly for the local guides. To my mind, the Chinapac system seems well-organized and well-staffed. I would not hesitate to book my clients with Chinapac, and will share that with my colleagues. Itinerary • I liked it, as it featured everything I personally wanted to experience, and the key sites my clients ask about - Yangtze River & Dam, Terra Cotta Warriors, Great Wall • And I was unexpectedly impressed at the richness of experience we were exposed to as we moved between those highlights - the parks, the country-side, observation of the local lifestyles. Granted, it included the good, the bad, and the ugly, but those are all rich and true experiences. Would I do it again, myself? Absolutely, with a few modifications. Will I encourage my clients to make a similar trip? Absolutely, with some clear expectations of the pros and cons. Please keep me advised of upcoming promotions, etc. Best regards..and thank you again.

Hello Jenny, I thought I will email you to give you a feedback on this trip I took with Graham through Chinapac . We had a wonderful and interesting time sight- seeing , shopping , watching Impression West Lake , having suits made ……….. A lot of that good experience was from the meticulous organization and going the extra mile by your assigned China guides especially Edward and Barbara. They were there helping, guiding and still smiling sometimes dealing with difficult and trying North American individual! These fine people are the real assets for your company. I have done many tours and 58 cruises all over the world to know the difference. I always believe in giving positive and negative feedback to enhance on future services. So far I have nothing bad to say especially when the service is great and they are still trying so hard. Best regards,

Hello We, Peggy, Shae and myself returned a week to-day from China. I was chosen to e-mail you and let you know how much we enjoyed the tour. Our flights with Air China, although very long in length went well. The personnel at the check-in counter in Vancouver and again in Beijing were most accommodating in choosing our seating arrangements. We were met at each of our stops by the guide for that city. The vans used, the drivers and the guides were all top-notch. We appreciated having the opportunity to experience different modes of travel within China, ie. express train from Suzhou to Hangzhou, domestic flight from Hangzhou to Xian and overnight sleeper train from Xian to Beijing. The buffet breakfasts in all the hotels were wonderful with lots of choice. Except for a couple of meals in Suzhou, which were just o.k., the lunches and dinners were excellent. The quality and choices of food surpassed my expectations. I was recalling the food we'd had when I last visited China, 9 years ago. We appreciated the ease with which we could book our tour with you - using e-mails, phone and a couple of mailings. You very promptly answered all our questions whenever we contacted you. We would certainly recommend your company to anyone travelling in the areas of the world where you sponsor tours. Perhaps we will have the opportunity to travel with you again. Thanks, Elizabeth
